December 18, 2024 Dear Momentum Families, Community Members, and Staff, Over the past few years, we have carefully assessed the best ways to support the Gravois Park campus, its staff, families, and scholars. We’ve promised our community transparency in our decision-making process for Gravois Park. In keeping with our promise of transparency, we’re sharing an important update with you. Starting in 2025-2026, Momentum Academy will no longer enroll scholars at the Gravois Park location. However, this does not mean that our current scholars and families will lose their place within the Momentum community. WHAT’S NEXT All families will have the opportunity to enroll at the Tower Grove South, Fox Park and Tower Grove East campuses. We have planned field trips for all Gravois Park scholars and families in January and February 2025 that will allow you to experience the energy, culture and day-to-day operations of our communities, and rank your preferred campus for the upcoming school year. In addition, families that need a more individualized experience will be able to schedule a separate tour provided by our Enrollment team. We know that many family and community members will ask, “Why Gravois Park?” Since opening this campus has faced many challenges. We implemented leadership changes, restructured the campus to focus on Kindergarten through 5th grade, and gathered input from families and staff to better serve the Gravois Park community while pursuing our goal to provide a high quality academic experience. We want to urge our community that this will not be the last time you hear from us. We encourage our families and staff to express the emotions, concerns, and future goals of this community as we work through this transition. Most importantly, we remind all Gravois Park community members that they should feel free to reach out if they have questions, if they need support, or just want to talk – we are here for each other and are focused on the needs of our staff, our scholars, and our families.
