7/3/2024 Hello, Momentum Academy St. Louis community, I hope you are enjoying every bit of your summer. We are working hard to ensure our buildings show how much we love and care for you. Our Summer Professional Development embodies meaningful planning, classroom setup, and wellness activities for you to feel seen and heard. Most importantly to continue to create a space where any organizational changes are presented in full transparency and integrity. As I prepare for my fifth school year with the organization and fourth year as Executive Director, I cannot withhold my excitement for what we WILL accomplish together this year. We look forward to welcoming you back on August 5th, but wanted to make sure you were aware of our upcoming work. When I started with the organization, I committed to remain for at least five years or until my daughter Mira started kindergarten. Over the next two years, the Board of Directors with your targeted feedback will select a new Executive Director to lead the organization. The process will be completed carefully to ensure the selected individual aligns with our core values and priorities for the next phase of Momentum’s Charter. The time has come for me to begin preparing you and the organization for your next Executive Director. This summer, the position will be posted and the search process led by How are the Children, LLC. Human Capital Talent Acquisition will begin. We will provide opportunities for involvement and status updates regarding the process in our monthly newsletter in September, October, and December. During the 2nd semester, you can expect to receive quarterly updates regarding the search process and selection. Once a successor has been identified, the onboarding process will begin. Please do not allow this process or announcement to be a distraction as I remain committed to the success of Momentum and the onboarding of the new Executive Director through the 2025-2026 school year. If you would like to schedule some additional time with me, please do so here. We are excited to operationalize our vision for attendance, continue to make unprecedented gains in scholar growth, and truly create environments where our core values are evident in our interactions with one another. Let’s make our mission statement come to life for the families we serve. With Integrity, Miranda Ming, Ph.D
