August 21, 2025 Dear Momentum Academy Community, We’re excited to share that Momentum Academy’s Board of Directors has approved a revised school calendar following updated guidance on Senate Bill 727. Earlier this year, we added school days to ensure we met state requirements—even if we had weather closures. With the latest guidance, we’re now able to qualify for both weather forgiveness and the state funding incentive to increase teacher pay, without needing those additional days. As a result, the last day of school is now planned for Friday, May 22, 2026, before Memorial Day weekend! While we don’t anticipate needing to extend the school year, we do want to note that in the unlikely event of significant school closures, we may need to adjust the calendar to meet state instructional time requirements.
